A Memorable Milestone: The 25th Biskupin International Martial Arts Summer Sports Camp
The 25th Biskupin International Martial Arts Summer Sports Camp will remain in our hearts as one of the most inspiring gatherings in our history. More than just a series of classes, this landmark event was a vibrant celebration of martial arts, cultural exchange, learning, and camaraderie — an unforgettable experience for everyone who participated.
Intensive Training and World-Class Instruction
Throughout the week, participants engaged in a dynamic and varied training program. Sessions included karate, kenjutsu, kickboxing, ju-jitsu, and self-defense, designed to challenge and support students of all levels.
Guiding them was an exceptional team of instructors: European Champions David Buckley (Ireland), Petra Gudde, Mikel Brunn, Peter Kluss (Germany), and Angelika German (Ukraine). They were joined by an accomplished group of Polish experts — Piotr Witkowski, Krzysztof Mróz, Maciej Maciejewski, Robert Antosiak, Tomasz Misiak, Jacek Pieczonka, and Marian Waszak — whose professionalism and passion elevated every session.
Together, these instructors not only refined participants’ technical skills but also nurtured confidence, discipline, and respect for the timeless traditions of martial arts.
Beyond the Dojo: Culture, History, and Leisure
The camp experience extended far beyond training halls. A thoughtfully curated program allowed campers to explore the rich heritage of Biskupin and its picturesque surroundings. Highlights included:

When not training or sightseeing, participants enjoyed archery lessons, friendly games, and refreshing swims in the inviting waters of the Zajazd Biskupin pool, striking the perfect balance between focus and relaxation.
Celebrating Achievements and Advancements

A Spirited Finale: Tournament Results
The week concluded with a Sports Kenjutsu and Karate Kata Tournament, bringing the camp’s energy to a thrilling peak. Excitement filled the air as competitors stepped onto the floor, cheered on by fellow students, instructors, and guests.
Throughout the afternoon, they displayed not only sharp technique and tactical precision but also focus, discipline, and respect — the hallmarks of true martial artists. Younger students shone with creativity and courage, while seasoned practitioners impressed with refined strategies and fluid movement.
When the results were announced, smiles and applause echoed through the hall. Medals and certificates recognized outstanding performances, but the real victory was the shared sense of achievement and friendship that the tournament inspired.
Honoring Contributions and Closing the Event
As the camp drew to a close, participants received commemorative certificates celebrating their dedication and progress. Our international instructors were presented with beautifully crafted thematic paintings by the talented Shihan Zdzisław Mikoda, a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for their invaluable contributions.
Against the backdrop of Biskupin’s historic landscape, the 25th edition of our camp seamlessly blended physical development, professional instruction, cultural discovery, and adventure. It stood as more than a celebration of martial arts — it was a meeting of cultures, the birth of new friendships, and a testament to the enduring spirit of our community.
We look forward with pride and excitement to carrying this tradition forward, ensuring that the spirit of Biskupin continues to inspire martial artists for generations to come.
